Caisses d’allocation familiales (Child benefit office)

Your CAF can give you some ‘bons vacances’ (holiday vouchers). The amount of the ‘bons vacances’ is calculated according to your family ‘quotient’. These vouchers can be used for children holiday & sports camps. The amount and conditions to benefit from it vary from departments and even from CAF offices within the same department. The granted aid is paid directly to the organizer or the family. Some CAFs allocate vouchers only for camps that operate in their department or for departures with an association of the department.

Comités d’Entreprise (works council)
Your CE can help in different ways: ‘bons et chèques vacances’ (vouchers and holiday checks), pricing policies, etc. Your CE will inform you of the different possibilities available.
 

Des mutualisations d’entreprises 
Some companies who do not have a works council join together to contribute to fund holidays. Contact your company.

La fonction publique (public service)
Benefits may be paid for the registration of children of certain public servants. Check with your administration.

La MSA Mutualité Sociale Agricole (Agricultural Mutual Assistant Fund)
These grants are offered to affiliates and they have the choice between holiday checks and vouchers. Both aids being paid according to your income. Contact your fund.

Les Conseils Généraux (General Councils)
They can provide a complement to other aid. They are available for families in great difficulty. Get information from social workers and General Councils.

Les Mairies (City Halls)

Social services, CCAS, and youth services can offer aids for camps. Assistance is often based on the family quotient. It is usually paid directly to the organization. Check with your City Hall.
